A few discoveries
I was rooting around in a cardboard box today before I went to work and what should I find but one hundred Imperial British infantry in spiky helmets that I had bought months ago from HLBS. I think that is pretty well a full battalion (and then some) in TSatF terms, so I think the project will at last get off the ground.
In the same box I also found some quite nice Russian infantry and armed sailors - obviously from the revolutionary period, but good enough for a game of toy soldiers. Especially if you leave out the Lewis Gunners and the Officer with the MP18! Although, VSF... you never know. The sculpting's a little rough, but the figures are quite appealing. I even found some nice WW1 Tommies - lovely Officers. I want some more.
I think the Russians will look very well painted up in either the white summer uniform or perhaps the white gymnastirka (tunic) with green trousers.
